Our Mission

Answer Africa is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit humanitarian organization founded in 2006 with a commitment to provide Africa with critical health interventions and dedicated to the eradication of Malaria. Answer Africa was co-founded by Craig Elliott Hacche and his late wife, Dr. Makena Marangu, a Kenyan by birth and a tireless Philanthropist whose efforts have healed and saved thousands of lives in her native country.

Answer Africa will now be partnering with another non-profit organization, Hearts Afire, to build a maternity wing at the Hearts Afire Mountain Hospital in Eldoret, Kenya, in honor and remembrance of Dr. Makena Marangu, Craig’s beautiful wife.

The Makena Marangu Memorial Maternity Center will provide state-of-the-art care and facilities not only to the families living in the areas surrounding Eldoret, Kenya,  but to an area of approximately 10 million people. Our hope is that this Maternity Center will continue and celebrate the legacy of Dr. Makena Marangu.
